Fabrication
Design and manufacture of thermoplastic equipment: complex assemblies, pump skids, ventilation ducts and pipe isometrics.
For a specific plastics fabrication need, EELIX provides a team used to custom parts and technical assemblies. Cutting, drilling, welding, bending, assembly, machining and polyfusion are carried out in our workshops.
Food, chemical, pharmaceutical, automotive and aerospace projects start from the specification. The same teams also work on surface treatment, waste treatment and air treatment.
The work begins with the duty — fluid, temperature, footprint, access, standards — then design, drawings and manufacture. Workshops run CNC equipment. Each item is checked for strength and leak-tightness before it leaves.
Custom fabrication covers complex equipment, pump skids, ventilation ducts and pipe isometrics. Polymers — HDPE, PP, PVC, PVDF — are selected for chemical resistance, temperature, UV protection, impact strength and appearance.
Compared with metal, thermoplastics resist chemicals, last, and cost less to manufacture. Colour is in the material: no paint to maintain.
No rust, good impact absorption, and equipment that is lighter to move. Shapes, slots and curves are freer than in metal, with less noise on the shop floor.
The polymer is chosen for the fluid, the temperature and the exposure. Outdoors, a UV-stabilised grade holds without a paint coat. Welds are in the same material as the wall: the joint follows the strength of the whole.
Nozzles, flanges and connections are set at the study stage, close to the pipework already on site. The equipment arrives ready to connect, sized for the plant.
Before production, technicians check feasibility. Calculations set the drawings and the process. The study also selects the polymer: UV-stabilised, impact-resistant, corrosion-resistant, or a defined finish.
At the end of manufacture, compliance is checked against the applicable standards and the specification.
A rectangular tank stores liquids in a smaller footprint than a cylinder of the same volume. It suits chemical and food duties, and any process where floor space is tight.
Useful capacity, chemical resistance and easier handling than an equivalent metal vessel. Options include a cover, level gauge, inlet and outlet nozzles, and plugs.
Flat walls are welded and nozzled along their full length. Inlets, drains and overflows line up beside the tank, close to the pipework already on site.
Outdoors or in a plant room, it fits into a process line: valves, level and links to neighbouring tanks connect without extra civil works.
The base, reinforcements and liquid height are sized for the stored fluid. A cover, integral bund or feet are decided at the study stage, so pipework can pass underneath and maintenance access stays clear.
CNC machining gives accuracy and a consistent surface finish, including on parts that are hard to make by hand. Requested dimensions are held.
EELIX can also install, service and repair equipment on site. Support runs from the study through to installation.
